Winter Solstice Concert: Sacred Circle

Does your child light up at the sound of music? Turn car rides into concerts?

The Syracuse Community Youth Choir is where young singers (ages 5-12) develop their voices, build confidence, and make lifelong friends all while having a blast.

We create a supportive space where your child can explore the joy of music and discover their unique talent through amazing songs and meaningful connections.

This season Children’s Choir will be developing principles of peace and justice while exploring our season theme.

Cost: Suggested sliding scale donation of $5-10 per week, no one turned away for lack of funds.

Families may pay weekly or for the full season (10 rehearsals).

MAKE YOUR SINGER PLEDGE
We also accept cash or make a check to Syracuse Community Choir (memo for Youth Choir).

We rehearse every Tuesday. Children can arrive as early as 3pm at 601 Allen Street. Rehearsals will end at 5pm.

Rehearsal Schedule:
3:30pm – Arrival, snacks, and activities
4pm – 5pm Musical Instruction

Wednesday, September 23 | Choir Update Meeting

This gathering will be a follow-up to the status meeting that was held on August 19th.

We’ll again report to the community about the state of the choir and preparations for the new season, check in with each other, and, of course, sing together.

Meeting will not be available via Zoom, but it will be recorded.

Sunday, September 27 | Westcott Street Cultural Fair

The Westcott Street Cultural Fair is an annual celebration of the diversity and uniqueness of the Westcott neighborhood through its culture, arts, food, organizations and activities for families and students.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please take a moment sign up to volunteer at our table for this September 27th event. Stop by our table to say hi, learn about us, and sing!

Wednesday, September 30 | Autumnal Equinox Singing Party

Join us for an Autumnal Equinox Singing Party to kick off the season. All are welcome for community singing and an open mic night.

Tuesday, October 13 |: Kids Choir Interest Meeting

Children’s Choir begins with a family meeting at the Information Center

Location: 601 Allen Street, Syracuse
Time: 3:30-5:15 PM.

This gathering is for both children and their grownups.

Saturday, December 12| Full Choir Rehearsal

Our pre-concert, put-it-all-together, not-quite-final rehearsal will be held at Grace Church.

Location: Grace Church – 819 Madison Street, Syracuse
Time: 10 AM – noon

NOTE: Regular rehearsals for each of the choirs will still occur during the week following this rehearsal.
