This summer solstice concert marks the next chapter in the Syracuse Community Choir’s journey. Building upon themes of resilience, transformation, and joy explored in recent years, Rise Up is a powerful call to action.

Celebrating Our Shared Humanity: From the opening chant that unites our voices to the closing notes of friendship, each piece serves as a powerful reminder of our interconnectedness – a responsibility we hold towards each other and the planet.

Music with a Mission: Rise Up is a testament to the transformative power of music. We honor the Earth with a Spanish love song, amplify the voices of the marginalized with “Listen,” and confront the harsh realities of gun violence with “Requiem.”

As we celebrate the importance of collaboration and inclusivity, Rise Up will inspire us to rise above, to truly hear each other, and to create a better future together.
